Coaxial Cables
Coaxial cables are a standard data transmission device that many people are familiar with and comfortable using. These products were used for decades to transmit cable signals and most people are used to cutting and installing them in their homes. This use has faded out as digital television has become more common, which uses phone lines instead. However, many products still use these lines because of their practicality. These products are easy to adapt to almost any product and are safe to use. They pose no risk for electric shock for individuals handling them and they are easy to install in products as they are simply a single wire to insert.
These products are however on the decline compared to other formats such as HDMI cables. These products allow superior audio and video data transmission by transmitting data down a digital line in uncompressed format. This makes them have not only superior quality, but allow for a protection of the signal as well. As many people know from experience the length and the proximity to other cables can degrade the quality of images and sound. However, this is not true with modern HDMI cables.
In addition to the sound and picture quality of modern cables, these products are also easier to use. Coaxial requires that users screw the product into its receiver, which can be very difficult in spaces that are extremely tight like entertainment centers or office equipment. Modern cables simple pop in and out, and still hold firmly even with this ease of use.
